Professional Biography

Bill Robinson is a tested employment litigator who brings nearly 30 years of successful experience to the table for natural resource, aluminum, manufacturing, commercial and service industry clients facing complex labor and employment issues. Throughout his career, Bill has focused his practice on the representation of management in single or multiple plaintiff and class action employment litigation before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and the West Virginia Human Rights Commission. He has defended clients in a variety of matters, including claims of sex, race, disability, age, safety and other employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, sexual and racial harassment, breach of employment contract, workers’ compensation claims, and violations of ERISA and the FMLA. Bill also has extensive experience litigating West Virginia’s unique "deliberate intent" employment actions, having successfully represented employers in dozens of such cases arising from serious workplace injuries and toxic tort/workplace exposures. He routinely represents and counsels management regarding workers’ compensation issues, non-competition agreements, employment policies and procedures, employment handbooks, supervisor training, hiring and firing issues, and disciplinary actions.

Bill's success results from his application of vast experience to client relationships founded on mutual trust and a full understanding of each client and its business. Always at the forefront are the client’s best interests and objectives, as well as the development of the solution or legal strategy that will most effectively and efficiently serve both.
