Yelena Simonyuk is a special environmental counsel in the Corporate Department and a member of the Interdepartmental Environmental Group.

Yelena’s practice involves handling the environmental aspects of complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, portfolio investments, corporate and real estate financings, real estate conveyances, securities disclosures and bankruptcy matters. In those contexts, she coordinates environmental due diligence; retains and supervises environmental consultants; counsels clients regarding environmental liability, compliance and risk allocation issues; and drafts and negotiates environmental provisions in transaction documents. Yelena also regularly assists clients with environmental compliance, site investigations and cleanups, Superfund matters, and sustainability initiatives.
