Zuckerman Law

Zuckerman Law is a Washington, DC-based law firm that represents whistleblowers nationwide and litigates employment-related disputes on behalf of employees in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. The firm is dedicated to zealously advocating on behalf of workers whose rights have been violated to achieve justice and accountability.  We understand the difficult professional and personal challenges that our clients face and aim to provide the highest level of customer service.

Zuckerman's SEC whistleblower practice team includes a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner with substantial experience auditing public companies and investigating complex fraud schemes. And two lawyers on our team served in senior positions at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel overseeing government investigations of whistleblower claims. We understand the many challenges that the SEC faces in investigating our clients’ disclosures and take measures to increase the likelihood that the SEC will be able to effectively pursue the disclosures we provide on behalf of our clients.

Zuckerman law has also established a leading practice combatting glass ceiling discrimination.  The Chair of the firm’s glass ceiling practice was lead counsel in one of the largest glass ceiling discrimination cases, which resulted in an approximately $100 million settlement.

Zuckerman Law is selected for a 2021 NLR Go-To Thought Leadership Award for their comprehensive coverage of Employment Discrimination law ranging from EEOC cases, changing LGBTQ+ Employment Discrimination laws, and how the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)  and FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) intersect.  Zuckerman's Glass Ceiling Discrimination blog is an invaluable source addressing a wide range of employment issues including FMLA Retaliation Claims, whether the Legal Standard for Harassment and Hostile Work Environment Claims Should be Redefined, and reporting on various Discrimination case verdicts, which inform and educate the National Law Review's readers.

The National Law Review named Eric Bachman, chair of Zuckerman Law’s discrimination and retaliation practice group as a Go-To Thought Leader for his employment and sexual discrimination articles. Mr. Bachman’s background holding leadership roles at both the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division provides a unique and practical perspective to NLR readers on employment matters. Mr. Bachman’s contributions unpack decisions dealing with racial, sexual, and gender discrimination, and also explain the implications of pending legislation such as the Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act.   Mr. Bachman's writing also explores a wide array of workplace discrimination situations including the prejudicial treatment of  LGBTQ employees, sex-plus discrimination claims, the differences between workplace bullying and a hostile work environment, and age discrimination.

Zuckerman Law has been selected for a 2018 NLR Go-To Thought Leadership Award for their coverage of Employment Discrimination. The articles from Zuckerman's Glass Ceiling Discrimination Blog provide NLR's readers with case updates and in-depth analysis of promotion discrimination, sexual harassment, workplace retaliation and explains what employees can do about it.
