South Korea: Across the Board Immigration Fee Increases Beginning January 2014

For employers sending skilled workers to South Korea, please note that fees for immigration related services and applications, including visas, have increased for the first time since 1998. The new fees were effective January 1, 2014. The new fees are as follows:

Employers are reminded to plan assignments to South Korea early and ensure that all business units sending people to the region are familiar with the risks associated with stealth assignees traveling on business visas but performing actual work. GT has seen an increase in investigations on the latter issue.
