Hanjoong (Han) Kim is an associate in the Entertainment and Digital Media Practice Group in the firm's Century City office.

Areas of Practice

Han’s practice focuses on transactional entertainment matters, advising clients in the acquisition of intellectual property rights and the development, finance, production, distribution, and exploitation of content in the film and television industry. Furthermore, with a deep expertise in music law, Han provides legal services for not only those in the music business, such as artists, managers and record labels, but also entertainment media companies in music related matters. Han is also active in the virtual reality and podcast industry, advising companies in these burgeoning fields. As a native Korean speaker and with relationships in the K-pop industry, Han has helped on deals that cross the Pacific Ocean.

Professional and Educational Background

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Han worked at a boutique entertainment law firm performing business affairs and legal services for independent television studios, motion picture financiers and producers, podcast companies, book authors and musical artists.
