Meredith Maxwell is special counsel in the Corporate Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Industry Team. She regularly advises clients with regard to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; joint ventures; business entity formation and business planning; corporate governance; and other business transactions.

Meredith has extensive experience representing various sectors of the healthcare services industry, including physicians, hospitals, physician hospital organizations, long-term care facilities, and private medical associations. In addition to being involved in complex healthcare transactions, she counsels clients on governance issues, fraud and abuse issues, and regulatory compliance matters.

As outside corporate counsel to business clients, she regularly handles contract negotiations, structures and negotiates business transactions, and advises in corporate governance issues. Among recent matters, Meredith represented an industry leader in performance apparel in its acquisition of a new retail brand of apparel and accessories for manufacture and sale nationally and internationally.
